Independent Branch Manager

Valley Express is currently in the process of contracting new independent Branch Managers nationwide. Our Branch Managers take advantage of Valley Express's technology and expertise, while enjoying a high degree of independence. Branch managers secure and maintain a customer base as well as manages all aspects of freight coordination. Accounting/Settlement Clerk
Valley Express, Inc. in Fargo, ND is hiring for the position of Accounting/Settlement Clerk.  This person should be able to multitask, pay close attention to detail, have the ability to work as a team member, & have problem solving skills.  Applicant’s job duties also include posting fuel receipts to trucks, write advance checks, settle fleet trucks including customer invoicing, and handle phone inquiries for checks/settlements.  A comfort level with computer systems, data entry, word processing, and spreadsheets would also be required.  A solid ability to work under time constraints to meet deadlines and ability to interact daily with many different personalities is also required.   This is a full time, Monday-Friday position with a benefit package in a family based environment.  Knowledge of the trucking industry & terminology is a plus.  Pay is based upon experience. Please apply by using the form below.

Provide phone and data communications with customers and drivers in a fast-paced environment. Maintain freight matrices and all aspects of computerized dispatch. Safety Director

Experience in transportation safety required. Ensures compliance with and monitors all files, logs, qualifications, and safety reports.

Accounting Manager

Requires a 4-year accounting degree and computer skills. CPA and experience in the trucking industry are preferred.

Accounts Payable

Balances customer and vendor statements, maintains accounts payable file, and general office duties. Two-year business degree and 1 year accounts payable experience required.

Operations Manager

Manage dispatch operations of all offices, including customer and driver relations, customer rates tables and training dispatchers.

Accounts Receivable

Enters daily deposits, makes A/R adjustments, claims, and collections. Computer and people skills are a must. Two-year business degree and one year accounts payable experience required.

Receptionist

Manage phone and data communications, invoice processing, data entry and inventory control. Should enjoy a fast-paced environment on a multi-line phone system. Two years experience preferred.

Service Technician

Light maintenance on OTR Tractors and Reefers. Preferably have experience in diesel and refrigeration. Work 8am - 5pm Monday through Friday. Must supply your own tools.

Warehouse & Yard

Light warehouse and yard maintenance, picking up and dropping off of reefers in the FM area, forklift operation. Requires a commercial driver's license if doing any driving.

Inventory Control and Parts Runner

Assist service technicians in shop environment by keeping inventory fully stocked, shop floors and equipment clean, and delivering parts that are needed quickly.
